Testimonials

We cannot thank you enough for everything that Ellen did for our parents. We will be forever grateful for the care they received, and the kindness and professionalism of the staff who were involved with them.

We know that both Mom and Dad could at times be a hand full, and it was at times far from easy to keep them comfortable and comforted. But you all managed to do a heroic job, which was a great comfort to all of us as well.

We have talked among ourselves many times about what strength, character, empathy, intelligence, and generosity it takes for someone to work as intimately as the Ellen staff works with such vulnerable and fragile people.

And certainly from our perspective, also how well run and managed Ellen is. That was obviously a comfort to us too.

We admire you all and feel very lucky to have found you at the time when we needed you most.

I had the misfortune of a horrific fall. I had a choice of where to go for rehab and I chose Ellen. I spent six weeks there and I actually reached the point of enjoying my stay there. The facility is extremely clean, the food was excellent, the nursing staff and aides all exhibited a great deal of compassion to me. The rehabilitation was done in a large, newly renovated therapy gym and the therapists were great! They were kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. They really worked with me to set realistic goals and get me back home with my husband as quick as possible. That staff is a sparkling group of team members! I would recommend Ellen to anyone.

Prior to my mother needing the care of a skilled nursing facility, I had a notion about nursing homes that was not correct. I viewed it as a sad place that people went to die. What I found was an environment filled with compassion, caring and love for the residents. I brought my mother to Ellen to receive hospice services after a brief hospital stay, not to die alone, but to be surrounded by those that loved her. Staff from every part of the facility, and on every shift, came to her room to hug her and tell her how much she was loved. We saw her depart this earth peacefully under that care and love that I have come to know as Ellen.
